In this era of COVID-19, when many of us are quarantined and things feel like they are falling apart, pessimism is probably our worst enemy. Here are some things Mia recommends doing in order to stay optimistic!
I know, I know. This is probably the 10th article you’ve seen about quarantine or ‘what to do during this time’ or ‘#stayathome’, and many of us have certainly gone through many emotional stages throughout these past few weeks! Maybe you learned a new TikTok dance, attempted to bake something new or tried that #Mugshotchallenge(whatever that is)! This may seem like a tough time for some of you, but for those who have been scrolling on Instagram for ages now with nothing new to see, here are some things you might be missing out on.

First on the list is John Krasinskis’s SGN videos. And yes, SGN does stand for, ‘Some Good News’. Krasinski dedicates this channel to keeping people’s hopes up during self-isolation. Quarantine can greatly affect our mood. Sometimes we are overcome with happiness, sadness, anger and so much more! Have you ever felt very down at one point then extremely happy in a few hours? That has definitely happened to me. If you ever feel bored and need something to keep your spirits up , watch John Krasinski’s SGN videos for ‘Some Good News”! There’s nothing better than seeing what people from all over the world have been up to. (You have no idea!) He may seem very formal at the top, but I can assure you that he will make your day even better with his bottom pj’s on! You’ll get what I’m saying when you start watching it! 😉
2. WPGA Staying Healthy Instagram Account
I think we’ve all come to the point where Instagram is the last thing we’d want to look at. We have probably gotten enough of the same posts saying #stayathome and #throwbackbeforequarantine posts. But do you know what’s better? WPGA’s staying healthy Instagram account! (Yes, we know you love it!) On this page, you can find the Prefect’s High School Musical video and a video of Mr. Garinger and Gia dancing.Trust me, it’s worth the watch! ! It’ll make your day and hopefully inspire you guys to do something creative! Don’t forget to send any amazing videos to the council and they will feature all your talent

3. Stay Healthy
It is hard to find the motivation to do some workouts, but believe me, it is so worth it. Besides your PE teachers telling you to fill out those exercise journals (which you probably should start filling out), you should try doing some exercises on your own. Maybe take runs outside (minding your distance) to take your eyes off your devices! Nowadays, our eyes stay on our screens for almost 6 hours a day!
Can you imagine how tired they might be from all those UV rays? It is important to spend some time away from our screens and start keeping our heart rates up. I enjoy yoga classes and nice runs outside! It gives my mind some time to reset and feel rejuvenated. Exercise will make you feel happy and healthy at the same time! So why don’t you go give it a try – after reading this article of course!.
