Often, one of the biggest reasons stopping people from reading is not knowing what to read. Below is a list of four must-reads, varying in genre and type. These recommendations come from four different big readers, most of whom are members of the Library Club. Please note that the order of the four books does not matter.
#1: Powerless, by Lauren Roberts

Powerless, by Lauren Roberts, is a New York Times bestseller and a part of the Powerless Trilogy. A romance, the novel is set in a world where people are either born with powers (elites), or not. In a certain town, people with powers hold authority over those who don’t. Paedyn, a girl born without powers (an ordinary), is forced to pretend she does to avoid execution. Later, she encounters a prince and enters a competition where a group of chosen elites all compete to showcase their powers. Throughout the book she discovers a new part of herself, as well as love. This book is rated 4.2 / 5 on Goodreads and is popular amongst teens aged 14 and up.
#2: Binding Thirteen, by Chloe Walsh

In 2004 Ireland, Shannon, a girl who was raised in an abusive home, finds herself in a wealthy school alongside Jonny, a boy who couldn’t be more different than her. Despite their seemingly difficult circumstances, they find unexpected love and understanding, a bond forever tying them together. Not long after, reality starts to hit, and they find themselves hiding secrets they don’t think they could ever share. Will Johnny and Shannon find each other, and more importantly, themselves, before it’s too late?
#3: Six of Crows, by Leigh Bardugo

The world is tense after the assasination of an important government figure, and no one knows why. Soon, it’s revealed to legendary criminal Kaz Brekker that a scientist who’s unlocked a crucial secret is being held hostage and the only person who can save him and the world is Kaz, but he can’t do it alone. After assembling a group, Kaz and his team take on a mission that can either end in eternal riches or in them paying the ultimate price. Six of Crows has a stunning score of 4.5 / 5 on Goodreads, and is a popular choice for many teens.
#4: The Fault in Our Stars, by John Green

The Fault in Our Stars will take you on an emotional rollercoaster, through sensations such as grief, sadness, happiness, and suspense. Set in modern day America, The Fault in Our Stars is about a teen girl with cancer who thinks she’ll never have a chance at a normal life. The appearance of Augustus in her support group changes her prospects, and it doesn’t take long for her to rethink everything. Suddenly, the tables turn, and she finds herself in a situation far harder than anything she has ever experienced. Follow Hazel and Augustus through their journey. 96% of Google Users enjoyed this book, and there’s a high chance you will too.
