How to deal with stress and practice self care based on your sign
ARIES (March 21st-April 19th)
Aries, although your stress tends to build up very quickly, it also disappears soon after it has arisen. The stress you feel is extremely intense but only lasts a short amount of time. The best ways for you to cope is to talk about your emotions to close friends or find a physical activity such as boxing or running to let out any negative energy you may be dealing with.
TAURUS (April 20th-May 20th)
Taurus, your stubborn ways often cause you to bury your stress and not let anyone know how you’re feeling. It can be extremely difficult to open up directly, so try to let out your feelings in a different way. Go on a hike and maybe even scream at the top of your lungs once you get to the peak of the mountain! Letting it out will feel amazing!
GEMINI (May 21st-June 20th)
Gemini, you often have no trouble expressing your opinions and thoughts to others, but when it comes to your inner feelings, you sometimes struggle. You are indecisive with your emotions and not only does it confuse you, but it also confuses others. Try taking some time alone to sort them out and then share them with someone you trust.
CANCER (June 21st-July 22nd)
Cancer, you are always so full of extreme emotions. You may feel overwhelmed by them, but they are also your gift. You can empathize like no other sign and this makes you a very nurturing person. While helping others is easy, helping yourself may not be. Connect to your water roots, take a bath, and breathe.
LEO (July 23rd-August 22nd)
Leo, much like Aries you are often an open book who isn’t the best at hiding your feelings – but this doesn’t mean you don’t still struggle with them. Stress may make you want to run away and ignore your emotions, but hiding will only make them worse. Sometimes the best thing for you to do is to get things done as soon as possible so you can feel calm and stress-free afterward.
VIRGO (August 23rd-September 22nd)
Virgo, much like Cancer you find yourself wanting to help everyone else but yourself. Although your friends and family appreciate this, they want you to remember to focus on yourself too. Ground yourself by doing something creative: colour something, cook a favourite dish, and try to remind yourself that you are also important.
LIBRA (September 23rd-October 22nd)
Libra, you seem to be constantly on the go; always talking, always running, and always being active. Although you give people the impression that you’ve got everything under control, neglecting your stress will only make it worse. Stop for a minute. Watch that episode of TV, take that extra hour of sleep, and let people see your vulnerable side! It will inspire them to do the same.
SCORPIO (October 23rd-November 21st)
Scorpio, your stereotypical traits include chaos and judgement – but these truly are just stereotypes. Once you open up, people can see how emotionally intelligent you are. This does cause you to feel huge amounts of worry, but also serves as a great way for you to manage those feelings. Listen to music and just let loose!
SAGITTARIUS (November 22nd-December 21st)
Sagittarius, you are very independent in most parts of your life, but this doesn’t mean you don’t need validation from people other than yourself. You thrive when you are surrounded by people who affirm you, but you need to learn to do the same for yourself. Practice telling yourself that you are enough until you don’t need anyone else to, and watch all your worries melt away.
CAPRICORN (December 22nd-January 19th)
Capricorn, you have trouble letting others in and thus, people view you as cold and emotionless, but this isn’t true. You feel immense stress but cannot bring yourself to show it because it makes you feel weak and vulnerable. You don’t have to share all your feelings with everyone but at least acknowledge them and try to write them out so you can see progress in yourself.
AQUARIUS (January 20th-February 18th)
Aquarius, you may think no one will ever understand you, and that you would rather just stay away from those who say they care. This is not healthy – or true. You have to give people a chance to hear you and empathize with you. Everyone is different, but everyone feels the same emotions at some point, so let them help you.
PISCES (February 19th-March 20th)
Pisces, shutting off and hiding from your problems, despite knowing this won’t help, can cause people to think you are lazy and unaware. Listen to the voice inside your head that is telling you to reach out for help. Find a friend, therapist, or family member who can validate your feelings and help you come out of your shell.
